Another Paint Question (with pics!)

What color should the indicated areas in the pix be? Body color or firewall color? I've seen it done both ways with black, even under the top panel that hides the wiper transmission, and I've also seen like a body color overspray. I asked before I think, but this time I added pix to be sure.

What's the "right" way??
Thx.

It should be the semi gloss of the firewall right up to and under the wiper cowl. I painted the cowl off the car as to not get overspray in that area.

Some judges like to see body color overspray on the top of the semi gloss black firewall. I'm with Rukee, I like the clean look with no overspray.

I agree, I'm gonna paint it all semi gloss. Eastwood Underhood black, or POR15 Chassis coat???

I just sprayed my frame this weekend with POR15 and PORChassis Coat. That Chassis Coat worked GREAT! Almost like a bakelite finish.
