engine paint recommendation

Hi Guys. I am looking for a recommendation for engine paint for my 69 Judge. I am a little concerned about the quality spray can paints after what I went through with my street Hemi not long ago. Appreciate any assistance.

thanks

I used Eastwood paint on my 65. brushed it on. it's holding up really well. I believe they sell the rattle cans also.

Here is a link for the correct colors

I too used Eastwoods paint, only I went with their Ceramic 2k version and sprayed it. It has held up well. Keep in mind though that all paint WILL discolor on the heads on the center two exhaust ports. Just the way it is.

Thanks. Did you put a coat of primer on first or paint the bare cast iron ? Also what works best to clean and degrease the engine prior to painting?

I didn't prime it and used brake cleaner to clean it, and wire brushes to get rid of the rust

X3 on the Eastwood paints....I've used a pretty broad spectrum of their products all with excellent results.
