Got a good Matadoor Red touch up paint...

I have been trying to find one of those little touch up paint bottles at the local parts stores.

It comes in those little bottles that are small and handy.

The books don't list codes old enough for 69.

I did a look by body plate paint code,
but can never find any place with that color in stock.

Does anyone know of a good substitute?

there are tons of reds there,
a handful of which look like they would be close.

This is not a show car,
but something closely matching to hit little scrapes and dings as they happen would be great.

If anyone knows of an alternate code you can find a lot that would work, I would appreciate if you could tell me.

Look for any DuPont paint supplier (automotive) they have a portable hand held color analyizer they bring it out to your car and sample the color (optically) and can give you a paint code that will match- this works very well on older paint that has faded-

What I've always done is buy 2 or 3 that look close....they're only about $6 each. Look at the paint as well as the cap. Last time, I got lucky: "GM Dark Garnet Red Met." was an exact match for the '68 pontiac Flambeaux Burgundy that my '67 is wearing...
