paint

Is the brush touch up paint available for 69 burgundy GTO, or something you need to try and match up. Just looking to fill a couple small scratches.

I went to Autozone and eyballed it. Mine's painted 1968 Flambeaux Burgundy. I think the touch up paint ended up being a Mazda or Ford color. You may have to get 2 or three and try them out. The GM listings don't go back very far!

If you can't find your color in an auto parts store you can go to your local automotive paint supply store and get them to make up your exact color. You may have to buy a little more than a touch up bottle but the paint will last several years if sealed up correctly.

I doubt it will be an exact match. I went to my local body shop, which by no means is a run of the mill shop, and they couldn't get an exact match. Came out darker.

When you brush touch something it usually will come out darker. When you spray a color out air pressure can change the color. You have a better chance of a non metallic color matching when you brush touch.
