Hood struts

Does anyone know what the pressures are on the factory hood struts? I need to get lower pressured ones now that I have a custom fiberglass hood

Those are stock struts. Now all you have to do is take the specifications from that chart and find struts the are the same except for the "Force (Lbs)" spec. Problem would be determining how much less that needs to be based on the difference in the weight between a stock hood and your "custom" fiberglass hood and finding struts with those specs. Good luck.

Thanks so much for the information. I think I will just call this manufacturer and see if they have lower compression struts.
