Battery Question

Okay, I know this is as basic as it gets and that I'm probabaly a 'tard, but should I be checking a water level in my battery? If so, should the thing be bone dry?

Garage
It's a sealed battery. If you can get it opened up their should be water in the cells...If it's dry show the dealer.... it's a warranted item.

The new battery on my 2005 was not a sealed battery. I never even thought about it but started looking one day and realized it had fill caps. Mine was also dry. I filled with distilled water, but I guess a cell had gone bad. I took to the dealer and got it replaced with a sealed one.
