BCM Install for Airbag fault 40 GTO

Hello!

Rockauto has new BCM. It mentions separate purchase for key FOB and BCM has label for security code.

Do I just remove and plug-in new BCM?
Or is there a program setup process required?

This is to stop the airbag fault light. Auto electric guy says there is no code behind the light, so he thinks maybe BCM bad.

Please help me keep my GTO, so I can stop myself from buying a Mustang.

Aloha,
Eric

I would take it to a known good air bag specialist.
Some systems require a special code reader for
air bags.

I'd take it to a GM dealer. It may be something they can reset with their Tech II. Also if you get a BCM you'll need to have someone link the BCM and PCM together.
