fishy smell when fuse pop'd

did the ddm hid conversion (looks great) but the first time i put them in i plug'd in both sides upside down... there was a loud pop and a "fishy" smell followed... i plug'd them in the right way (right side up) all is fine after i replaced both 20 amp fuse's. lights up great looks even better they are the 35w 6000 k lights. slight hint of blue but mostly white pictures too follow just want to make sure that fishy smell isn't anything important.. thats all i really can tell you is that the 20amp fuse's pop'd and the smell followed. any help please
?confused

the ones on my old car shorted and the wiring got really hot and made a kinda fishy smell to. as long as its all working good and no more funny smells you should be fine.

Difflow diffuser, K&N intake, x pipe only exhaust, HO alternator, pioneer touch screen, 55w HID's, 35w fogs, halo/projector headlights, fender stripe, 5%-15% window tint, black lug nut caps, black side markers, more to come
