Ignition problem

Hey guys. My 04 GTO sometimes just clicks when I try and start it. I can turn it off and it usually will crank. Sometimes it takes a few time of doing this. Any suggestions?

Are the clicks coming from the starter?
If so, it is probably the starter solenoid.
Replace the starter.
If not, have it scanned for codes.

Agree, classic symptoms of bad starter solenoid. Check battery voltage and connections at battery as well, but most likely solenoid.

I sometimes have the same problem. If I take the key out, turn it over and put it back in, it starts. As long as that keeps working, I'm not pulling the starter out. Maybe something to do with the ignition switch and/or the security system. Here's a link to what I found when researching the problem:
