Low rpm's

I recently started having problems in my 06 gto the rpms are lower then usual it idles at 500rpms and it use to idle at about 750pms and the rpm's when driving are noticeably different, i did just fix a vacuum leak could that be the problem? One guy told me it is supposed to idle this low, is it true?

Auto or M6? FWIW it's a good idea to post your car mods in the signature so you don't have to list it every time. A lot of answers to questions are going to ask what you have.

Autos idle considerably lower rpm than the manuals when you're in drive and stopped. Manuals are only 825 rpm stock.
