LS2edit vs. HPT2.0 w/ls2 support

As I was browsing the other GTO site , I found this thread regarding how the LS2edit Tune will lock out the PCM. One of the mods I am waiting on is to Tune my LS2. With the info I read , I'll be waiting for the HPTuners 2.0 w/LS2 support to be released vs. I was leaning toward the LS2edit. While the tuner that does the work is also a major factor , I found this thread kinda important , so I post this link...

I think the only consumer hand-held Tuner available for the LS2 is the predator (started shipping this week). The LS2edit is only available to professional tuners at this point in time and HPT 2.0 w/ls2 support is still not available. But the relationship a Professional Tuner has with the Software companies may allow some "Beta" units to be available.

I think that is the current status and I will gladly stand corrected if more up to date info is available and can be posted...

LS2edit has been out on beta form for quite some time. It definately locks your pcm. Only the tuner that programmed it can unlock it and put the stock tune back in. I found out after my tune. Good thing I have a good honest & trustworthy tuner. Hope his computer with my stock tune in it don't crash or I'll have to buy a new pcm if I have any problems.
