Throttle Says "No Thanks"

Well, after many miles of great fun and the wife taking over the GTO because my job requires a 4wd, we had our first issue with the Goat. The comp through a 'Safe Mode' code and killed the accel potentiometer (didn't spell check).....The dealer replaced the accel pedal assembly under warranty, after we had a tow, (AAA). So it didn't cost a dime, but when the throttle dies, it can be stressful for the wife stuck in a parking lot for 2 hours.

Anyhoo, after I got there, I reset the comp by ignition on, pump the throttle and restarted the engine. The throttle worked again, but the service light was still on.

Just thought I would pass this along to you fine folks incase any of ya have this problem in the future.
