What brand gas?

Now dont thrash me , there may be a thread on this already, but I could not find it in search or advanced search.....so I want to ask....What brand of gas are you finding your GTO runs best on? I drove a 370Z and it drove poorly on Chevron and much peppier on Shell. I have been using Shell in my GTO but am gonna try Chevron and was just curious.

Top Tier Gasoline

...any of these should be good as they meet a higher standard...for many years, it seems that Shell gas gave me slightly less mileage than even some of the other brands out there...I've not had poor performance from any Super Unleaded I've used in my GTO...

I have had the same experience. Shell has given me less millage per tank but no noticeable performance difference. I use quick trip almost every time these days with better gas millage and good performance. No complaints here.

Garage
There are only a few refineries in the country and some areas only pull from one so the only difference is the additive package of cleaners etc. added by whatever brand. I've noticed no real difference between major brands although I avoid anything with corn juice in it both because it gives lower mileage and the principle of the government subsidizing the burning of our food.

The C5 Vett forum members always stressed that the LS1 ran best on Chevron. That's what I used and had no issues. I'm gonna try Chevron at my next fill up. Been only Shell up till now. As I said earlier, my 370 was very different when I used chevron (worse). Sluggish and less power, no doubt from their additives Svede mentions, and the 370 forum pretty much had the same opinion as I did.

Thanks for your input gentlemen!

I can't tell any difference. I just buy whatever is cheapest.
