Newbie here....Just a couple of videos

Let me say hello and I'm glad to be a GTO owner!! I'm not much of a "car guy" so to speak, I have the mental capacity just not the mechanical ability or the financial support!

I'm from Beckley, WV and also ride a GSXR750 for even more fun!

I went to the dealer to look at the G6's, wanted to get rid of my gas hog truck (Ram1500 360 4x4) for something a little easier on gas and a little cheaper.......didn't exactly achieve either

I bought their last 04 GTO for less than what I could have got a G6 GT for and I got 10times the car!! Gas mileage is slightly better but a helluva lot more fun using it up!

Anyways, I've been lurking around here for the most part and the ls1gto spot....no real mods in mind, I do eventually want headers and an exhaust (and brakes and wheels and bushings and sway bars and new speakers and the list goes on). It seems there's a lot of support for the SLP exhausts with the rest being a mixed bag....I've a video of a red GTO with a Corsa system (I think) and that car just sounds awesome! Zaino will be here tomorrow

This seems like a nice place with tons of info and really good, cool people....hopefully you guys will have me!

Here's a couple of short vids I made, simple roll-ons and that's it. I've only got about 350miles on the car, I've mostly babied it with the occassional hard run up to 80.

http://webpages.charter.net/jvandall/GTO_20to70.wmv (2.15Mb) some wheelspin

Congrats on the new car. There is a place in Washington, PA, called Stropes. They are LS1 specialists. If you want to make your car go fast call them. Aaron Strope also owns a GTO. Your about 2.5 hours south of there.

Cool! Thanks for the info, I haven't had much luck in finding a good place...don't really know what to look for in a shop either.

More info for the uninformed, please.

Do they reflash ECM's?
Cam and/or head installs?
Suspension?
Blowers?
Headers?
