That was pretty hilarious, but that couldn't hold a candle to what happened to me the first time I tried a burnout with 3 friends in the car. The burnout went fine, but neighbors across the street from the parking lot called the cops (complaining about the noise) and I ended up getting a ticket for it!

That does suck, I mean really SUCK. I'm glad in Fla. the cop has to see you do it to hand out a ticket.
I believe that I'd have a little something for that neighbor.

Hey guys, im new to the forum and new to the Goat as well. Gonna sound like a newbie, but the way to achieve this is...Gas it while having the brakes pressed down as well right?
How much damage does this do to your tires and brakes?
I have an M6...what would be the best technique for me to roast the tires?
THANKS FOR ANY INPUT!

What I do it is rev up to around 4500/5000rpms. Drop the clutch while simultaniously hitting the brake with your left foot just enough to hold the car still. Advice, practice in an empty parking lot or country road first! With enough practice, You'll be able to get this perfected to where you can do it in light traffic for show! Not that I recommend that kind of behavior!!

Or buy this product.

You might be a redneck if you're doing smoke shows in the middle of residential neighborhood. Sheesh.

As for how to do a burnout:

1. TC off.
2. Clutch out.
3. Rev to 3500 or so RPM --although the amount may vary due to overall asphalt and rubber grip. Water under the rear tires helps break them loose.
4. Dump clutch.
5. Hold brake down enough to keep the front wheels turning while allowing the backs to spin.
6. After a while, you can modulately the brake so the front wheels roll forward a bit as the backs spin.

Eats tires, doesn't do too much to the brakes -- but can really mess your clutch up if you don't do it right.
