Anybody know a source for a light socket on the heater control panel for a ‘68 GTO? Wiring schematic shows powered by a single-contact grey wire.

IIRC that is a one year only socket. Also used for the rear side marker lights. I have never seen one outside a 68 Pontiac, or even reproduced. The socket retainer is very fragile and often pulls out of the socket.
You may be able to use one from a 69-72 or a generic socket at your FLAPS.

Maybe Scott (BLK69JUDGE) can come up with one.

Hello

something like this ....?

Scott T
Greetings Scott - I was messing around under my dash and the white socket/small bulb w/ single black wire (shown in your picture 1) dropped down as I was wriggling back out.....any clue to where this came from so I can try and get it put back would be appreciated.

Surveyed schematics and don't find a match for a single black wire to a bulb.
