Is America Ready for a Female President?

OK guys..... this should be a good debate topic....

And who do you think will be our next President?

I don't think America as a whole is ready to embrace a Female president. Sure, the Democrats are savoring the recent victories in the House, and Senate. But I just don't think they have a strong candidate for Pres. Bush has really screwed things up for the Republicans, but as a whole, Do you think America is ready to see Hillary run this country? IMO .... NO... she ran it once when she puppeted Billy Boy.

How about Bama? Is America ready for a black President?

IMO...NO....... However If there was one black politician who I think would stand the best chance of election would be Colin Powell but he's not running. I would vote for him.

IMO I think our next president will be Rudy Guiliani. The pollsters have him out in front. Our country lacks a leader we can embrace, and with his handling of NY on 911, he's shown the skills (according to the pollsters) people are looking for. Yes he as dirt on him as does all the candidates but all considering.... ........ I think the Republican nomination will come down to he and McCain.

As much as the Demos want a Demo, I just don't see the two leading candidates winning.

I am not political by any means, I base my opinions on what I read, and see on the news......

thoughts???

OOOOOOOOHHHH HELL NO.What really scares me is that so many women will vote for her JUST because of gender alone.IMO 90 percent of women need medicated to balance their hormones regardless of age[post puberty]and most arent.I say that as Im going into my bomb shelter because that always launches an attack from the ladies but it is so true.Women seem to excuse alot of their actions do to PMS,Menopause, and other hormone driven events.I love women very much but ther is alot of baggage that goes along with them and if my wife sees this Im in the dog house again. Most refuse to get thier hormones balanced out and even if they do another excuse is I forgot my meds.I forget all about this in the GTO so thank God for the GOAT

Female president? Sure.....roll out a credible candidate.....Not Billary!
African American president? Sure....roll out a credible candidate.....Not Jesse Jackson!

I don't know that much about Obama's resume other than what the campaign cronies have started to put out in the media. He seems to be a relatively young, attractive, well groomed and well spoken person. That's likely why the party machinery latched onto him. But as for his experience and record, I must admit I know next to nothing about him. At least there appears to be no scandal associated with him so far, that's a huge plus. Maybe the guy has some character!

As for Colin Powell, the man definitely has character. Unfortunately, he probably has too much character for the White House. And he has enough brains to stay the hell out of that frying pan. Too bad for us.

Anyone with a brain doesn't want anything to do with the office these days. So, we are left with the members of the blind ambition club. Sad!

IMHO, the republicans are toast this time around. After two terms with Bush & Cheney, there is no republican candidate that can win. The country feels betrayed (except for the folks at Haliburton et al) and they want out of a no win situation in Iraq. What arrogance to think that we know what's best for a bunch of people with a wildly different history and culture that are surrounded by other states with equally alien cultures.

The Democrats on the other hand have who....Kerry/Frankenstein/Swift Boat Hero? Billary?

It's gonna be another tough election year for the American public!

Where's Ross Perot and Lyndon LaRouche to provide the laughs?

Alan Keyes would make an excellent POTUS.

Hillary is way too liberal. If she gets elected we'll end up being just another European Socialist country. We'll have medical care for all, it will just be horrible quality and will be rationed. Taxes through the roof and unemployment that is in the double digits. We'll allow the UN to run our foriegn policy.

I'm coming up blank right now for a female candidate that would be qualified. 10 years ago I could have voted for Elizabeth Dole, also I think she would have been a better VP choice than Chenney.

I'm ultra-conservative, so I'd like to see Newt Gingrich run. Rick Santorum would be another good candidate as far as I'm concerned. I have some questions about Rudy, but would vote for him over any Democrat. If it's McCain I'll pass on voting or vote for the Democrat, at least I'll know what I'm voting for.

One woman I always admired in the political arena was Jean Kirkpatrick. I think she'd a made a good leader.

I'd vote for Bill O'Reiley in a heartbeat.

I used to hate, I mean I hated Newt Gingrich. But after listening to him, and his views, I think he'd be a good candidate. I'd really consider him.

Nancy Pelosi and her S-P army are dangerous.

Politicians who support restorative justice instead of punishment for rapists, murders etc. is dangerous to everyone.
i.e. Vermont.... Judge Cashman and his sentence of a rapist who repeatedly raped a girl for over 4 years was given a 60 day sentence. After public outcry he rescinded it to a mere 3 years... Again in Ohio, the same type of sentence....

People like Pelosi support this.... don't punish them.... give them some help and let them go. Well some of the Demo presidential wannabes support this theory.

I ain't ready for their ideology.

I think the real question is, is America dumb enough to elect a female president?

For the moment, thankfully they are not. We're getting there though.

Imagine you are a woman.... Your husband is president and he is caught red handed getting a BJ from an intern..... The world looks at you waiting to see how you are going to handle it in the public spectrum....

We're still waiting to see what she's gonna do...........

OOPS .,.... she did it.

hmmmmmmm......magnify that against aggressors who are pushing us around now and nothing is being done........

I would have no problem with either a woman, African American or Hispanic for president, but they've got to have the experience to handle the job, and prove they can leave emotions out of the equation.

I guess Hillary has proven she's the ice princess, at least in her dealings with Bill's indiscretions.

There's just something that's not likeable about her though- - -Obama seems likeable enough, but what's he really done??? What's his experience??? I think we older folks remember Jimmy Carter; nice guy, likeable, not much experience other than Governor, and that just didn't work out.

I'm going to be interested in watching this process- - -will agree with one writer tho in that Bush has screwed it for the Republicans in the forseeable future.
