Five Years Late

It appears the Mustang GT will have some muscle again. 412hp for the 2011 and only 50 pounds heavier than the '10. Mulally knows how to run a company. I've owned 4 GT's in the past 40 years and liked them all but the GTO is simply a finer machine. (Stock shifter aside.)

I've never owned one despite the fact that they look like fun.
I think it's because they seem to be a dime a dozen.
I've always been more into unique but fast.

For example, my little brother and I are working on a 1966 Datsun Roadster (look it up) that will get a rather potent 302/C4 Ford put in it.
A 2000lbs convertible with anywhere from 300HP to 400HP................scary fast.

Yeah I read about that too. Of course that is 412 at the flywheel so nothing for me to worry about yet. LOL. Do need some upgrades to push towards 500 rear wheel.

2006 Black on black M6 - Cam, Supermaxx header system, valvetrain kit, L76 intake, L92 Heads, Volant cool air intake.

If I am not mistaken, it will come from the factory with LTs... at least that was the gossip.

I agree -- the Mustangs are everywhere and it's one of the reasons I got the '05 GTO while I still owned an '02 GT. I went into the showroom to look and had to have it. But bang for the buck the GT is still a good deal and with 412hp it'll be a good product for Ford. I don't want one but it's good to see an American manufacturer coming up with a product worthy of some attention. (Especially since I own some Ford stock.)
