Look what i found at the Fleamarket....

A set of Motor Wheel Spyders! Pretty rare and definitely "unique" among aftermarket wheels the were made from 1969 to 1974 and had some great advertising. I've seen mint sets of the center caps go for over $1K.

These wheels aren't mint but are very nice with no rust and only one or two pits on the center caps. This set fits Ford or Chrysler and are 14x6 but they made them in multiple widths and either 14" or 15" rim sizes. Some people buy them and have the centers put in different width and offset rims.

Great find Alky!
with 4.5 bolt pattern, would look good on a variety of Mopars. '70-72 Barracuda, comes to mind. Have had a few Spyders over the years, 15x6's and 14x6's, but never any 15x7's, used to watch for a set of 15x7's to mount on my '72 T/A, but alas, gave up

Motor Wheel made many stock wheels including a large amount of the original Pontiac Rally II's. Heres a Motor Wheel sponsored Pontiac.

One of the more famous Pontiac class racers of the late '60's-70's, Truman Fields originally raced the above '72 455 HO GTO and was a multiple national event winner. This rare GTO had been tucked away by its 3rd owner in Yukon OK, up till 2 summers ago. Managed to go for a quick trip in it two summers ago, after going over the car from bumper to bumper. A PY member, Mark W, now owns this super low mile GTO.

Nice dude, what an honor to be able to work on that caliber of car and ride in it. Rolling history right there and one reason GTO's are so cool. I do like the look of the Spyders on there, I saw some too on an image of a Buick GS Stage II so these were pretty hip wheels back in the day.

They look fantastic on a Corvair, too bad my set isn't for GM or I would probably keep them I see a Corvair in my future one of these days lol. This set will hopefully go to someone who needs them and I can put the money towards my car hobby.

Never cared for the look of those. There was a set on my local Craigs list that were fairly cheap. Don't recall the details. I like the Aluminum slots that were found on many of the cars during the 60's-70's.

The Craigs list comes up with some interesting stuff sometimes. Got a nice looking '68 Lemans front bumper, $50, a 4-bolt main '61 389 $550, a rebuilt/running 455 $1,500, and other items. Some good prices, some really too high in my opinion. I recently bought a complete 1974 350CI intake to pan for $75 which I felt was worth all the pulleys, front timing cover, pan, etc.. Still could make a good builder even at that, so I just had to pick it up. Got 2 Trans-AM rear spoiler sections (no ends) to be used on my '68 Lemans trunk for $10 each. Just the ticket for what I was looking for. Missed a good bodied 1975 Pontiac Grand-Am 2 Dr with 455/TH-400 and Honeycomb rims for $800. Front windshield busted out, interior bad, and looked to be sitting for some time, but........

Craigs list always seems to have some good affordable Pontiac goodies once in a while.

Alky, I luv ya, but those have to be the fugliest aftermarket wheels I've ever seen, aside from anything over 17" in diameter!!! They would be perfect for an AMC Pacer. Or Gremlin.
