Garage
Not much to see of the bird but it looks like a chicken.

What a mess

Wow! Talk about luck! Dead center hit. Neither driver or passenger in the direct path. No damage to the sheetmetal. And, the driver obviously maintained control or at least managed not to hit anything solid.

That can be repaired good as new. Cept for the poultry seasoning in the upholstery. Whew!

Here in PA that would likely be Bambi and the damage would be much worse.

In NH or ME, it could easily be Bullwinkle and you'd likely be dead.

I'll bet that he had to throw away his Dockers and his BVDs, however.

How the hell fast do you have to be going to do some **** like that to a bird? Punched all the way through a safety glass windshield, and went through complete molecular deconstruction all over the inside of that car. That is what a bird looks like after it has gone head to head with a Pratt & Whitney. My god, someone must have fired that bird out of a cannon from the back of a pickup or something while this guy was winding out the Porshe on the Autobahn. Jeez.

Yeah, the smell in that car may not be totally attributable to bird guts.

"Sir, we repaired your windshield but we had to change your interior trim to brown to match the seats."

Yeah I seriously want to know how the driver managed that one....

By the way the glass is cracked and such, he hit the bird head on. Now, is his vision so bad that he could not see a bird that large coming straight at him - even if he's going like 200mph. I know that I would have seen the bird long before I hit it.

You may have seen the bird, But have you thought of what a high speed lane change may have done to him, the car, and other motorists on the road. Have you ever Attempted a unplanned lane change at high speeds, He could and probably would have sustained far more damage than that to the car, and possibly killed himself and probably others on the road. Kinda like people that swerve unexpactantly to avoid a squirrel on the road and end up killing themselves. Granted the bird could have got him. But in this case he did the right thing.
