Crank pulley plate

Does the round plate that goes in between the crank pulley bolts and the crank pulley itself get painted the same color as the pulleys, or the same color of the engine itself? Thanks

Same color as the pulley in my experience. Would be kinda odd to have black pulleys and a blue plate, and black bolts.
