Jim, i took your advice and i have the air doors adjusted just right now, no bog! I did this on the bench so i could see how it operated and better see what i was doing. I also replaced the open type intake gasket with one made to fit the 4 bores on a qjet.

With the new gasket the engine was idled up way too high, higher than before the gasket change. so I adjusted the idle screws and turned them in to where they are now 2 turns out and it idles and runs great. Thanks so much for your advice!

    Jim,
Could you tell me what is the best way to find compression stroke turning the engine by hand with plugs out.
    Thanks,
    Larry

Thank you for the offer Jim, but weve got more than that in parts here. Have a great day!

Cool pic of an M3! and a C47 in the background! Do you have a friend that lets you ride and reenact at airshows? I have seen some impressive mock battles.

I have a question regarding a 1968 air cleaner. Inside the is a baby blue vacuum valve of some kind. it has two nipples protruding from the bottom. One line goes from it to the flap in the snorkel. The other inlet nipple from the underside of the air cleaner is not attached to any source. 1) do you know the source and 2) the function. My assumption is this is for cold weather so N/A. (plus I have a 3/8" spacer under my air filter and get air from the whole perimeter - but keep the stock look, pretty stealthy ;-D)

    Hi-

Thank you so much for sharing your insights with me what a huge help that is! Quick question: is it possible to leave the engine trans and entire drive train on the frame? I did this with a 1967 GTO convertible and had no issues with the frame swap. What do you think?
