Here's a good story:
January 2018, I bought a 66 gto from georiga on ebay sight unseen. Drove down from Connecticut to pick it up and hauled it all the way home. When I started inspecting the parts I went from being hopeful to being overwhelmed with the amount of work I had to do just to restore or replace the parts alone and decided to scrap the project.
Fast forward to January 2019 I find another 66 gto, this time a full numbers matching car with a rebuilt engine and transmission, partial complete restoration car. I talk back and forth with the owner via ebay messager and fully plan to buy the car. Well... the car went way over what I thought I could get it for and just when all hope seemed lost, the owner messaged me again saying he hadn't heard from the winner of the auction and I could come buy the car in person. Drove to long island with a trailer and talked the guy down from the hammer price and drove away with a sweet ride. Been working on finishing everything since. Should be a sweet ride when shes done.
