History
I wanted to learn how to work on old cars, so my dad sent me to his friends' garage where all they do is rebuild GTO's. This car was there and I spend most of the day just looking at it. Learned a lot from them too. They eventually sold the car to someone else, who then fell on some hard financial times and sold it back a couple years later. When my dad found out about this he went over to look at the car and bought it on site. He asked me to come home early one day so he could give me my new license plate for my truck. When I got home he told me the plate was in the garage. So he opened up the garage and as I'm standing there waiting for the doors to open, I see that split grill and those three historic letters emerge from behind the door... Needless to say I kind of lost my mind when he handed me the keys.
