Can anybody help me in figuring out where exactly each headbolt goes in it’s proper orientation. Some bolts are long with threaded bolts on top, others simply are a flat head. I know the bolts that have threads protruding from the top of some of these head bolts go in certain places. I’m sure it’s to help support the AC and power steering pump.

Set your head down onto the block, then drop the bolts into the holes without engaging any of the threads. When you've got them in the right spots, the bolt heads will be sitting 1" above the head. The bolt(s) that have thread(s) on top are for securing things like the battery ground and the exhaust manifold heat shrouds.

A/C? The 69 had different A/C compressor brackets than previous years.
Power steering bracket bolts to the front of the head and doesn't rely on the studded head bolts
And are you using the rocker arm drippers under the valve cover?

Thanks guy’s, I think I may have figured it out. I think 2 go on each side on the inside for the rocker shroud. The other four go to the front of the motor on the outside of the motor, 2 on the left and two on the right.
