05 GTO HVAC Posessed?

Just picked up an 05 M6, noticed under load the HVAC will switch from lets say "Mix" vents to "Defroster."

Then when load is reduced, it goes back to where it should be.

When I say load, I mean your cruisin along and start up an incline, as the car works harder, the HVAC switches vents to defrost and back again when the load is gone.

Sounds like a possible Vacuum leak some where?

Anyone else experience this?

Not in my goat but in another car, and thats definatly what your problem is. The air position selector is a vacuum switch and if you have a bad one it could be leaking. With the car running, radio off, fan blower off put your ear right to the knob and wiggle it and turn it a little. If you hear it sucking hard and the frequency changes as you move it, thats probably your culprit. If not then you may have a line leaking somewhere or a bad vacuum solenoid on one of your air dams.
