I'm looking for a paint formula for the 1965 Dark Blue interior paint. Anyone paint their interior that might be able to offer up what paint code they used? Lucite paint code 9172LH (Semi Gloss) and Lucite code 9194 (Flat) are the original codes but the local paint shop said they don't have a modern paint formula.

Lucite 9172LH = Du pont 9172L = Ditzler DL13007 = Rinshed-Mason 65V23

Lucite 9194 = Du pont 9194LH = Ditzler DIA-130 = Rinshed-Mason 65B29

Today's paints are a 2 stage process with a flattener added to the clear coat.

When I touched up some areas on my '65 30 years ago, I had the paint matched and put into spray cans. It was flat blue for the top of the dash, and low gloss for above the doors. It isn't a dark blue, but more of a medium blue. If you have an original sample or chip, it can be matched. I would NOT do a base/clear on interior paint. I shot mine with the spray bomb and color sanded it. 30 years later, it looks like the original finish in good shape.
