So the steering wheel on my '65 is right up on me. It actually hits my belly. I am told there are seat extenders available that will back the seat up a few inches. Anyone done this? What seat extenders did you buy and did they work? How much room did it buy you? I'm not very mechanical - how hard was it. I'm in Maryland - if I pay a mechanic to do it, how much can I expect them to charge me?

Thanks!

Check ebay. That's were I bought a couple of sets a few years ago. They are just a flat piece of stock, maybe 1/8" thick that is drilled and tapped to move the seat back about 2". They fit all A bodies from 64-72

These are the ones I used. 64-67 floor pans are the same so if the ones from OPGI work for a 66 then they should work for a 64-5 also.
