Final Numbers:

3 Year Lease (25,000 Miles/Year)

Sale Price: $20,770
Monthly Payments: $255/month

Total Amount in Payments: $9180
Total Amount in Fuel (Estimation): 93 Octane (1.80 Average - Indiana): $8000

Not to mention $3000 grand total for insurance over 3 years and probably 1500 for tags. This goat will be for me (wife got the first). The dealer said payments would have been around 150 if I wasn't doubling the milage. What does everyone think?

Man what dealer did you go to? Sounds like a fair deal to me. I'm thinking of trading in my 98 C5. I live in Huntington by the way, not too far from you. I've heard the GTO doesn't get as good of milage as the Corvette. I would go with the 6-speed. I used to drive 30 miles one way in my Vette to work and got about 23mpg average. Now I live 5 miles from work and get 16.0 MPG average, but it is fun getting there.

I say you cannot lease any other car for 255 a month. buy a civic for say 16000 use it four years and with 100k it will be worth say 8000 if you are lucky. thats 8000 for the car or 2000 a year or 175 a month. thats assuming you get 8000 for a car with 100k.

so for under 75 a month plus gas you get 200 extra hp.

I am home if you want to call.

Do you drive that many miles a year on one car?

Thats the question i would be asking myself... i'd drop it back to 15,000 miles a year.. lower the payment a bit more.. but i dont drive one car that much.

What color combo you getting? manuel or auto??

I actually drive in the neighborhood of 27,000-30,000. It's the gas mileage that is going to rape me. Oh well, like Tom has said it's this or a Civic....hmmmm difficult choice.
