I recently purchased a Cold Case radiator for my 65 gto and everything fit except the spout was about 3/4" to high couldnt close the hood. Im sending it back it was for a tri carb 65, was the only one that had both inlet & outlet on passenger side. I guess I could flip the thermostat housing around so it foes to the drivers side.
Anyone have any knowledge that can help? Maybe a part #.
Oh yea Im wanting to install aluminum, my radiator works fine but with he rebuild Im doing I want to go all aluminum where possible.
Thanks

From the Ames catalog

Net CommentsTHE HEIGHT OF YOUR RADIATOR IS FOUND BY MEASURING VERTICALLY BETWEEN THE TANKS. FOR 1964-1967 RADIATORS THIS SHOULD 15 1/2" OR 17 1/2". AT TIMES CUSTOMERS CANNOT IDENTIFY THEIR PROPER APPLICATION. THE CORE SUPPORT CAN BE USED FOR THIS PROCESS. SEE HARRYS TECH TIP IN GTO RADIATOR SECTION OF CATALOG. A 17 1/2" RADIATOR CANNOT BE USED IN A CAR ORIGINALLY EQUIPPED WITH A 15 1/2" OR VICE-VERSA.

You need to order the non A/C (15 1/2") radiator. The core support is different between A/C and non A/C cars.
