Hello, brand new to the forum, just wondering if anyone could tell
me how rare a 67 gto 3 speed man with air would be? That is what
the phs docs are showing on mine and this gto "expert" didnt beleive
it. Any help would be great.
Thanx
Ron

3 speed manual was the standard issue trans for these cars. If you didn't spend extra for a 4 speed or an automatic, that's what you got. Pretty common, actually. An AC equipped car with the base tranny just shows that the original buyer spent the money on comfort rather than bragging rights. In the past 40+ years, a ton of 3 speed GTO's have been changed over to 4 speed cars, making an original 3 speed car these days not as common.

My 1967 GTO came with a three-speed on the floor. It was changed to a period-correct four-speed. I bet that the change, even though not numbers-matching, makes my car more, not less, valuable.
