Should I sell my '70 Nova? If I did I could almost afford my goal of my down payment ($10,000 goal) on a downpayment on a 2004 GTO...

A guy my father knows offered $6,000 for it. It needs to be repainted, and have the engine cleaned up and new tires/rims. The interior is stock though, and it's immaculate, which is the main selling point and why he wants to buy it...

What do you guys think?

Oh and it has an automatic tranny, a 350 engine.. I told him for $6,750 I would give him an older 396 that is sitting out at my father's shop (it needs a little work on it)...
