Any one know did 1969's come with an in dash 8 track stereo. I have an AM now and looking to ad it as a neat feature. Do any other Pontiac models fit? Thanks

No, not an in-dash unit. It was a separate piece and was either mounted on the console or if no console, mounted to a bracket on the floor.

8 track for the 69

here is a 69 n newer 8 track player 1st picture ... for a non console a body car or Grand Prix

and the wiring that is needed to adapt them together that you will need to buy also.. on the right 67 68 on the left ..

the same player and surround is used for a console but the lower "stnd" style bracket is traded for
an under the console support

Might be needing DS 503/DS 509 diodes for 69 8 track. Anyone have an idea, so far, so not good. thanks .

A ‘2n176 PNP’ TO-3 style Tx will replace the Ds-503 , It’s Much easier and cheaper to find..
Be sure to check it’s emitter/base resistors as well
They can fry and can blow the Ds-503 or vicey-versa

The Ds-509 is a speed regulator transistor for
The old 8 tracks, a few still are around
Both are on Epay
