This time I had the Z06. There you don't need to scroll to the end.

On the way into work I caught the same Charger SRT8 that was supercharged that I ran before. I got a clean launch and in the first 100' opened almost a car length. I then slowly edged on him till we got to the top of my 3rd, just short of 100, where I had him by about 2 car lengths this time. I'm not sure what the difference was last time. This time he didn't do the ricer flyby that he did before.

Later in the trip I ended up next to a GT500 at an entrance ramp to a toll road. There is a traffic light there and you need to make a left onto the beginning of the toll road. I was really afraid the guy was going to do something stupid so I laid back when the light turned green. nailing a car from a stop with the wheels turned to the left can have bad results.

He hit it pretty hard and then let up when he didn't think I was going for it. Of course that was when I was starting to go for it so we didn't get anything close to a clean start. By 60 we were pretty close to even and both into it full tilt. He slowly edged me till about 110-115. I stopped his pull and held my front bumper locked to his rear till about 135 where I slowly started to gain on him. He shut down when my front bumper matched his mirror.

We got back down to about 75 and he came up beside me and motioned for us to go again. I nodded and he hit it. I had downshifted and was ready for that. We stayed close to even till I made my 3-4 shift at 95ish and I started pulling him real slow. My guess is he had some heat in the supercharger now and wasn't making full power. About 125 His front bumper was equal with my rear and he let off.

Further down the road we both got off at OBT and stopped at the light. He had we chatted for a couple seconds. He had an intake and a pulley, so i felt pretty good about the run.

The best part, with half city and half highway for my trip to work the Hyundai averages 28.5 mpg. The Z06 averages 27.5 mpg.

Nice runs!

Comparing this:

To this:
we launched about equal and he put about a half car on me till the 1-2 shift. By the top of second I had almost evened it up and by the top of 3rd I had a solid car and a half lead.
It "seems" pretty similar taking into account the launch and end result.
