... But today I brought home a very clean 2004 GTO!

It's been a long time since I've been on the forum. The only consistent thing about life is that time marches on, and march it has. I've been super busy these days, but buying this Goat prompted me to hop on here. I am happy to see some of the same faces hanging around as I have lurked the various posts tonight.

I bought the Goat to replace my daily driver bucket of bolts BMW... I asked lots of people for advice; fix up the '97 convertible BMW, which I enjoy but is falling apart, or go out and buy a newer used car? Can't drive my truck, as it still hasn't fully recovered from the engine swap. (I had buddy's dad throw a 5.2L Magnum v8 in my Dakota) Don't feel safe commuting on my Kawasaki. I had no clue what to do until my friend found me a great deal on this Goat and then it hit me, I had to have this Goat as my daily driver.

Now I am officially a Goat Herder, and it feels great. I'll corral myself a '66 some day.

Unfortunately, the Six-speed manual and I don't really get along yet. I have learned how to drive stick more times than I can count, but I never get to practice because it's always just been driving someone else's car for 15 minutes in a parking lot. Now the challenge is to hit the shifts smoothly, start on hills, backing and parking, find the correct shift gates consistently, and use the gas pedal smoothly for smooth downshifts.

I'll try and get over to the modern goat section and post details and pictures sooner or later... introduce myself to some of the guys in that section. Old friends from the 60's-70's section, I'll see you in that section as well :cheers

Thanks guys! The previous owner took some really nice shots and put em up into a photobucket account for when he was selling. Do you guys think I should blank out the images of the license plate when i post em here? If yes, I am not looking forward to editing the pictures, as I am too lazy!! Haha

Hey Duke, if it were me, I would blank them out. But, that's just me. I've noticed others who don't, your call I guess........
