Mrs Bear and I are here for the weekend. There's a car show going on at the Soaring Eagle casino. Saw some cool Pontiacs today.

Wish I'd thought to post sooner, doggone it...

Here are some cool photos from the trip. A 71 GTO, numbers matching, 455 H.O. round port.

Nice 65 drop top with billet Rallye II's, E-headed tripower stroker the guy said dyno'ed over 600 HP.

There was also a nice GT-37, also an original round port 455 H.O. that I was drooling over so much I forgot to take a photo of it.

Oh, and that's me on the left with friends Don Brewer (drummer for Grand Funk Railroad), Richard Shockley, and Peter Rivera (drummer/lead singer for Rare Earth).

That was the main purpose of our trip to MI, to see Grand Funk perform and reconnect with old friends. Pete Rivera opened the show for them. He went on first, and let me tell you - his voice is ever bit as strong and good as it was back in the day. It was a real pleasure to get to meet him and chat for a bit. After him came Mitch Ryder, then Grand Funk --- it was a great show.
