Trailer? Put a reasonable rear gear in it and DRIVE it! I've put 130,000 miles on my '67 (not modified) and have taken it all over the place. The trip is MOST of the fun!!

I have 3.23s in the rear but it's still terrible on gas. I can't go any lower with the cam profile I'm running. With the miles I am able to put on it per year, fuel mileage wasn't a concern so I went a bit crazy with the engine build. I don't regret my decision but a road trip would be a bit much. I put somewhere around 1300 miles on it last summer which was the most miles I've put on it since the first year.Trailer? Put a reasonable rear gear in it and DRIVE it! It's funny - my wife really wants to take mine to Hot August Nights - i sure as hell ain't driving to Reno from Seattle area - not on 3.90 gears. But even with 3.08 or some highway gear - a convertible on interstates for hours is just crap and taking 2 lanes the whole way is out of question - let alone to get out to Jersey and take Army up on the offer. It will have to be trailer if I ever get to Hot August Nights. And how the hell do I protect the paint? buy that wrap I've seen advertised? I still have two teenagers at home and a job i need to support fam. sigh. Maybe in retirement? 10 yrs from now?Neither is hauling a classic on a trailer. Different strokes.
No way, I had that matchbox carI know I always brag about our cruise night culture here in Jersey... On top of the Munsters Coach, Dragula, Monkee Mobile... now look who's coming tonight!

Looks like it has the OHC!If you want to see Tom Daniel's Real Red Baron you need to take a trip to the Museum of American Speed.
This should be on every car guy's bucket list. You can also see one of the OHC 6's we donated to the museum in 2013 along with way too much to take in.
Here's a nice walk-through video;
Still, have my Hot Wheels
