Lots of requests for this one. I'm experimenting with a silkscreen process for air cleaners, stay tuned.

I made a batch of improved '68 GTO and Firebird emissions decals that more accurately reflect the originals. The current reproductions don't use the correct fonts or layout and are missing the Pontiac logo. These decals measure 3.25"h x 6"w and are output on a glossy adhesive-backed sticker stock for ease of application and durability. If there's enough interest, I can also reproduce these as water slides like they were originally.

I have two versions available:

• Code PD for GTO and Firebirds with standard and HO 400 4BBLs in addition to 350HO 4BBL Firebird, Tempest and Lemans.
• Code PE for GTO and Firebirds with Ram Air 400s.

This version uses BRAND NEW ART utilizing the correct fonts, spacing, layout, border radius and Pontiac logo ensuring an authentic, factory-like underhood appearance.

These are available for $12/ea. You can PayPal me at [email protected] or drop me a message here. Please specify which version you would prefer.

If there's a particular decal or label out there that could use a correct reproduction, please reach out and I'll see what I can do. I've got 25 years of graphic design experience and a passion for these cars to pull from.

I like it, but a few questions and not to insult you. At work we do some decal work and/or have outside companies do wraps on trailers. I know there are different quality vinyls.

Is the quality of this vinyl top tier, ie won't shrink/draw up from heat? Does it have a UV coating to protect it when exposed to the sun. I am going with a build having no hood, so a decal like this would be exposed to the sun at a car show and/or cruising around. Others will leave their hoods open at shows and of course the sun will hit them as well.

Next question. Since you are doing the set-up, what would it take to change the top line "V8 4 Bbl 350 & 400 Engine......." to better match the car's custom/mods of the engine such as "V8 Tunnel Ram 467 Engine........" or V8 Holley 462 Engine...." or "V8 Tri-Power 389 Engine" etc.. Realize that this would require a little set-up to change and worth an additional price, but I think you might have a few of us that would interested in something along those lines to reflect our actual engines in our cars.

They are printed on polypropylene (I'm unsure if there are different grades?), they are waterproof and the gloss clear coat is UV resistant. That said, the company said they may fade over a period time if kept outside. I can get more details if you like.

They are a tad bit thicker than existing reproductions which look to be printed on a black polypropylene (these are printed on white).

Relatively easy to change in terms of the art, it just depends on many you want and how much that customization is worth to you. The minimum order is 25 and the cost is higher for a small order.

OK, got it. I talk with those who install decals and trailer wraps at out shop and they have said there is a difference in grade or supplier. Some types of the material are somewhat porous which allows any trapped air to escape as the material is exposed to the sun and it shrinks. The other way is if you get an air bubble, they would have to slice it with a razor blade to release the air pocket. Then when they have to strip the decals, some of the cheaper/older types don't like to peel off when using heat and they have to pick the decals off a small piece at a time - and they don't like that too much. LOL

OK, you answered my questions. I was wondering about the UV protection, and custom print would not work if someone only needed the 1 sticker and had to purchase a minimum order. I thought maybe you were personally doing the set-up & printing.

Nope, just a designer and fellow GTO owner trying to do something for the hobby. I'm not a vinyl/polypropylene/sticker expert, but I think these are better than what's out there today
