I was cleaning the engine compartment and decided to see how easy was it to remove the plastic engine cover. Pulled one end off but now it wont snap back into place. Did I screw it up or once you take it off, it wont snap back on tight?

There are two rubber grommets on the outside edge of the plastic covers over the valve covers and coilpacks, then clips that hold onto the cross pipe. Sometimes the rubber grommet comes up with the cover when you pull it off. You just need to clip it back onto the engine first, then snap the cover into that grommet.

It can be a bit difficult sometimes. Don't force it, and you should be okay.

Don't you mean the grommet is supposed to come off with the cover but sometimes gets pulled out and stays on the motor? The grommets have a groove in them which slide sideways into the "U" shaped cutout on the cover then pop over the stud on the motor. They cannot be inserted into the cover with a straight push, the need to go in first. Just checking/clarifying.
