The world is becoming more and more dependent on the non renewable energy sources. The fossil fuel energy has been considered harmful to the environment as it releases dangerous gases on combustion to the atmosphere. But this problem can be efficiently solved by the usage of renewable energy sources like the wind, water and the air.

Renewable sources of energy are the most underutilized bounties of nature. These renewable sources are not just unlimited but also help in curbing the pollution caused by the fossil fuels. The renewable sources do not cause any emission of gases while producing energy.

Owing to its advantages, the renewable energy investing has gone up. The investment in renewable sources of energy can go up to 650% or even higher. The investment is also deemed recession proof in these times of slow economy.

Meanwhile guys like Al Gore who talk the talk but DO NOT walk the walk are becoming FILTHY RICH and what is now coming out as less than accurate data by geologists and scientists which has turned this topic into climategate. So much data is now surfacing disproving much of Gore's assessments there are calls for him to give back his Nobel Peace prize. Enter Cap and Trade it all is tied together.

Al Gore refuses to debate ANYONE credible with CREDIBLE evidence to show there are inaccuracies in his data which is surfacing as cover ups and distortions all in order to line the pockets of those who are out to make money.

While no one disputes cleaner energy is the way to go, and fossil fuels do harm the atmosphere its the methods and money scheming used to propagate inaccurate data to make those like Gore rich. His lifestyle is contrary to the cause he represents what does this tell us? What is in question by CREDIBLE sources is, just how bad it really is. There is as much scientific data to show global warming is not as bad as those who provide data to show there is. Data provided to show Global warming IS NOT as bad as Gore suggests, the term global warming was changed to say Climate Change. Enter Climategate.

It would make sense to me, those who are making MILLIONS off of this are not taking the lead on conservation but rather BOLDLY without shame or guilt flaunt their lifestyle as you do as I say NOT as I do and when questioned about it they are evasive and REFUSE to explain and DISPUTE the contradictions they are propagating. Gore's mentality is, you do your part and when you do it will make up for my part. Until we get those like Gore to get on the same page as all of us who really want to clean the earth up there will be be NO ONE championing this cause without money to made at the same time.....

Just my .02:D

Global warming is a bunch of ****. Nature has it's own way of correcting itself. What happens when the earth warms up? The core warms up too, volcano`s erupt, spew huge amounts of debris (and more CO2`s then a 1000yrs of driving) which block the suns rays cooling the earth. It's all self regulating. God is truly awesome!!

This winter will disprove all the global warming hysteria.:rofl::willy:
It ain't winter yet and the top tier USA is snowbound.

If you ask me about climate change, I'll tell you its getting colder. The winters are colder and snowier, and the summers are much cooler than what I remember 10-15 years ago around here. Its rare that we hit the 90's in summer here now, and that used to be common. So I don't get the global "warming" part.

As far as alternative energy... going green generally saves you money either way you slice it. Some stuff is going back to old ways like having a garden and/or canning, some of it is common sense like sealing up your windows and doors, and some is investing in alternative energy really isn't a bad idea... as an end user. If I had the land and the money, I'd be more than happy to put up a windmill. I wouldn't mind solar panels either, but at $5,000 for a 2'X4' panel that produces maybe 280 watts, its not really cost effective with their 25-30 year shelf life, whereas a windmill is.

If man made global warming was going to destroy the earth then there would not be exceptions in global warming treaties for developing nations. By granting exceptions they show that their real goal is to distribute the wealth from the nations that have earned it to the nations that haven't.

CO2 is nothing more than plant food.

This summer Orlando had 2 days over 100 degrees. That's the fewest number of days over 100 since the late 70's. In the early 70's, the same scientists that are now screaming global warming due to pollution were screaming global cooling due to pollution. A Time magazine article stated that in 1974 we were less than 10 years away from crop failure due to global cooling and the coming ice age that man was creating from burning fossil fuels.

One theory is the sun causes global cooling and warming. More sunspots equals more solar activity and that equals higher temperatures. The sunspots seem to follow a cycle that is 25-27 years long from peak activity to the least activity. In 1972 we hit the bottom of the least activity and in 1999 we hit the peak activity. The temperatures follow several years behind peak activity due to factors that store heat and cold like glaciers and oceans. 1976 was a very cold year with a brutal winter. 2003 was a very warm year. We are now cooling off.

Another flaw in the global warming theory is, if you take the data that they use to project a future with elevated temperatures and run it backwards, it doesn't follow the historical data. It shows that in the mid 1500's we were in an ice age. If it works going forward, it should work going backwards and it doesn't. There is a flaw in the formula.

Does CO2 contribute to warmer temperatures, yes. The question is how much. What would the temperature be right now with no man made CO2??? No one can answer that. So there is no way to tell how much temperature increase is man made and how much is natural.

CO2 is also a minor player in greenhouse gases. Water vapor is a much better insulator than CO2 and is responsible for 95 percent of our atmosphere's ability to retain heat and sustain life. Without water vapor our planet would end up being another Mars. Methane is the most potent and it has increased more than CO2, but there isn't any way to regulate methane so we don't focus on it. CO2 is generated by wealthy nations so to make things fair and equal we need to limit the amount of CO2 the wealthy countries produce.

Lastly, the periods when more species were created and the Earth flourished in life has been the warmer periods. Dinosaurs were cold blooded animals like alligators. Gators and Crocs flourish in tropical climates yet we find Dinosaur bones in Montana. How long would a gator survive in Montana today. That means there were times when the planet was warmer than it is now. So how do we determine what the right temperature is. Truth be told we can't.

This must be T Boone Pickens!

I'd like to see a real effort towards renewable energy sources that will always be free.
Rukee, you and I both know nothing is free. May be free to the Corp. capturing it(although the Gov. will want their large cut), but not for you and I....

I saw on the news, we're going to give poor countries money to help fight climate change. Are we not currently one of those poor countries? Actually, these "poor" countries are richer than us. I bet they don't have the mountain of debt that we do.....

Our tax money will go to help. Income redistribution to other countries. We are near bankruptcy yet our helping hand doesn't know this.

Gore was caught YET AGAIN: Copenhagen climate summit: Al Gore condemned over Arctic ice melting prediction - Telegraph

Our government is finding people in other countries are NOT as gullible and believe everything coming out of Washington as do the millions of Stockholm Syndrome victims walking the streets of the U.S. do.
