I had a small evap leak, coming from my fuel pump. First I thought it was the seal on the fuel pump, so I ordered it, then I actually got the fuel pump off to realize that the fuel pump was deteriorating from the top thanks to a swelled up seal. So the fuel pump also had a crack in it. So I ordered a new pump. Received it, replaced it made sure there were no leaks, closed it back up and started her up. Ran great, drove it the next day to work ran great until I left work and got home parked the car and started to smell fuel inside the cab, got out of my car to find a huge puddle of fuel under the car nearly reaching to the street near by. Quickly turned off the car put a towel on the in the tail pipe to prevent any fire from staring rolled it out of the garage. Finally it stopped leaking. The fuel tank is filled up but only spilled about 1-2 gallons. Any ideas? The only thing I can think of is that the seal didn't sit correctly and with the pressure it spilled out. My entire car reaks of raw fuel. Any ideas into getting the fuel smell out of my car after I attempt to fix the problem again?
