Temp was low 50's and moderately high humidity. We were close to the dew point.

There was a bunch of GTO's there and we all flocked together. Was neet seeing the 5 of us and watching the runs. Everyone else there was from LS1GTO.com.
IBM 05 M6 ran a 12.96. Only mods were K&N CAI and DR's. His speed was around 108.
Yellowjacket 04 A4 with mods and nitrous 12.4 at 120. second run he had an engine failure. I'm not quite sure what but it was bad.
Cyclone grey 05 A4 with "every bolt on" sounded great. 12.2 speed was low 120's i think.

My run. I left at 1800rpm's, I'm always conservative till I read the track. It hooked and started to bog so I mashed the gas. It spun real bad right to redline so I lifted till it hooked and stepped down. Hit my 1-2 and it spun bad again. Actually as I got closer to redline in second I realized it wasn't spining, the clutch was slipping. Looking back I realize that was what was happening in first also. To finish things off I missed my 3-4. The car pulled hard towards the top of second and real hard in 3rd. It likes the cold air. Still ran a 13.6 at 104 with a 2.44 60'. I'm guessing the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS's stick better than my clutch. LOL.
GTODealer, do you have LS7 Clutches and flywheels ETC... and if so how much? Is there anything else you would recomend? I've heard Spec Clutches in stage 2 and 3. I probably won't do more than bolt ons and maybe a cam. Top off at 425-450 rwhp.
14,000 miles and about 50 passes on a 3800lb car with 400hp. I guess it's a little shy of what I thought I'd get. Not a lot though.

Actually, leaving at 1700 RPM isn't that bad. Anything more would overwhelm the rear suspension and induce wheel hop.

Sounds like your new Eagles have a lot more bite than the stock BFGs...

With that rwhp I would run a Centerforce or Spec stage 2, pm me and I'll shoot you a price. :cheers

The Saturday after the track was prepped so well I was leaving at 4K and slipping a little and cut my 1.8 on street tires!

now ya know.......a Nitto or BFG drag radial is NOT a street tire....
Oh, I know . . . My street tires are Falken Ziex 512s in a 245/40-18. When time for replacement I may go with the BFG 18 inch drag for the rear!

You're gonna love this..... In Texas, the tracks stay open all year (1/8th mile)! I'm thinking about getting some 26x10.5 ET Streets on Welds (yes, they will fit!) and subframe connectors..... then some bottle action will be in store! :cheers
