Has anyone installed a Gear Vendor overdrive in their GTO? I installed one in my 66 4-speed car and have a bad vibration at about 65 mph. I have tried everything to fix it. New drive shaft, re-balance new drive shaft, all new u-joints, install adjustable rear control arms to set pinion angle, shim under transmission mount to reduce angle in u-joints.
Gear Vendors tells me to put a hose clamp on the front of the drive shaft to see if it gets better. Why should I have to unbalance my drive shaft to fix it?
Anybody got any ideas?

I recently installed the gear vendors od. I also have some vibration but its tolerable. I found the distance the shaft goes into unit is critical. I had to have driveshaft shortened for 2nd time. Rpm reduction excellent. I'd do (buy) it again even though it's pricey.

I use one also pan head, love it....did have to get a new driveshaft made, but that was easy.

I used a G-Force custom for the gear vendors on A-body cross member, which is real nice.

A TH350 now with six forward speeds!
