Interesting to see how the GTO is sold around the world. The British version looks particulary hot...

This is for the British version. Pretty awesome.

The fine folks down under who started it all.

Thanks for posting these sites. It was rather interesting. I liked the rear end treatment on the British and Aussie versions. I'm a bit baffelled why Chevy isn't selling the Middle East cars here in the US. What a line-up of performance coupes and sedans - all of which you can get the LS1 in - WOW!!

Yeah...ain't that a bizitch that the Vauxhall retains the cool Holden Monaro CV8 fascia, yet we get the lame-o Pontiac stuff?

Oh well. :D

I'm surprised that they didn't include some of the stuff the Brits & Aussies get as std equipment as options or a separate premium pkg. Seems like a chance to squeeze a few more bucks out of the customer.

1.) Side Air bags.
2.) Volt & Oil Guages
3.) Electronic Climate Control

As far as the looks go, they could have left the Vauxhall version alone & I would have been happy. Slap the Pontiac/GTO name on it. The GTO didn't need to have the twin kidney grill. GM could have pocketed more cash.

Once again, I concur. I may have to research this, and have one of my buddies in Old Blighty get a cost...

Great information!! On this site (http://vauxhall.co.uk/vxr/extras.jhtml), there's a link that says "Movies." Here you'll see some innovative, upbeat advertising (especially the blue GTO version) that if GM had used here, sales numbers would have surpassed 18,000 a year.
