Thanks for posting this info. I heard rumors of this and wanted to find out the details. Looks like 05 GTO sales may not be doing that bad compared to the rest of the fleet. GM definitely did not make money on those of us how bought 04s in November and December. It will be interesting to see how the continued rise in gas prices will impact the SUV market - where GM has been making most of its profit. Could be a rough year!

This is the only mention of gas prices;

"Noting that car sales are showing strength as gasoline prices have risen,"

How many people are going to rush out and purchase a new 15 MPG SUV with rumors of gas prices exceeding 2.50 per gallon.

They have mis-identified the 800 pound gorilla!

Good thing the Goat get's such good mileage for a 400 hp V8. And to think, I've got a friend in Oregon who just bought a new Dodge Diesel... he's paying $2.69/gal. :eek:

Can anyone say 'good times'? :confused
