My Goat is still on a train steaming its way towards PA (or so I hope). Needless to say I've already thought about what to order for my exhaust. I'm planning to just do replacement mufflers and have narrowed it down to these:

1) Original 40 Series Flows
2) SLP Loudmouth Mufflers

Anyone have these? For the flowmasters, where should the inlet/outlet postions be (center/left/right)? :confused

Thanks for any information.

From what I've read on the forums, exhaust mods don't next power gains unless you've done a lot of mods up in front. So unless you just want a different sound, there are more effective investments. Also, before you go cutting off the mufflers in back, check their replacement cost. I think GM wants $275 for them.

I'm going for rumble here. I'm not getting into headers or cat back to start off with.

Not sure why I'd care about the cost of stock mufflers though???

I'm leaning towards the 40's. I have one on my tahoe and it sounds awesome on the 5.3L.

Wait 'til you get it.

My goat has a mean, low and PERFECT sounding rumble. More would be annoying and less would be....well, less.

It sounds BADASS stock imho.
