I have a HEI distributor(50,000 volt) in my 428 and recently fried the bushing. I purchased a MSD cap, rotor and bushing kit for it. The kit has 2 kinds of bushing, 1 is the stock bushing and the 2nd is a low resistance bushing made of solid bronze that is said to allow the 'secondary voltage to be transferred from the cap to the rotor without excessive heat build up.' I switched over to the bronze bushing and have not had any problems. Has anyone else had this problem?????
