Hello all, I am redoing my dash and I need guidance as to how to remove the vents on either side of the dash. I have he dash out of the car and they are fastened to the actual dash pad and it seems as though there may be tabs on either side?

Can anyone help?

Hello all, so I went for it and made a bit of progress. Though I have hit my first road block. I identified that the side vents are riveted in place at the bottoms. Its not the entire vent that is riveted, it is the frame of them and what you see when you look at them from the front.

I know that I can drill out the rivets, my concern is that the rivets are actually connected to the frame of the dash pad. So when I go to reinstall the new ones, how will I attache them?

has anyone worked through this? If show how did you do it?
