Live near AURORA ,INDIANA Repossessed My 1968 GTO from body shop ! Got screwed , Look’ing for help finishing it myself. I’m not a mechanic. I did auto glass for years. Worked on show cars. Looking for someone in the area that can give some knowledge and help finishing car.

Idk exactly what's stock but mine is as follows...battery neg to block, front passenger wheel well to frame and back of the head to firewall, also my under dash items are on a ground lug on the steering column..they are very important to make everything work right.

Ok. here we go. push down turn signal ; passenger side blinks ; lift up ( turn right) same light comes on only brighter. !?!? Lol. Wtf Push on the brake. Same light comes on. Do I wait to put dash back together?

it sounds like the ground. but i can't be sure without it being in front of me. is it plug and play and labeled? sometimes everything needs to be connected. the correct bulbs in the sockets and all grounds hooked up.

OK. KEY OFF ;TURNED-ON THE HEADLIGHTS AND YOU CAN HEAR THE FLASHER AND THE DRIVES TAIL FLASHERS AND THE PASSENGER LIGHTS ,THE BRAKE LIGHTS ARE ON!?!?? FRONT CORNERING LIGHTS DO NOT COME ON.

Bad grounds put all those gremlins into the system, get a wiring diagram and service manual and start checking for "clean" grounds.

Runs great. Have a small exhaust leak. Have an appointment to get that fixed. Then paint Getting A/C charged this week.

PROBLEM. When driving I lose the tach and temp Works then after a while. Stops working. Then next time or day works again.

it sounds like loose connections. or dirty connections. maybe some electrical cleaner. wiggle the wires to see if they start working.
