How are the GTO clutches holding up to abuse?
The late generation (LS) vette clutches fry very easily....slip, smoke, stink......
Also, the clutch pedal tends to stick at the floor level at high revs. Good thing there is a rev shutdown device.
Goats the same or improved?

20,000 miles of hard driving on mine, and no problems here.

10K here, plenty of gear bangin, tire chirpin. - Still chirpin' 3rd.

65K on my trade, 02' SS Camaro - Still chirped 3rd.

Much of the wear depends on the drivers. I've seen plenty of idiots smoke their clutches like they were made to do that :eek:

Glad to hear that they have straightened that out.
The C5s were terrible. It was not only the clutch but the slave cylinders too.
They corrected it later on in the Z06s, so perhaps those are the clutches in use now across the board.

I thought that GM started using the Z06 clutches in all LS1s in 2002. I found this out when I researched replacing my 1999 Z28 clutch that went at 75K - it wasn't strong enough to overpower the traction control from the beginning. Z06 clutch was much much nicer.
